CGRM Speaker Lori Kanter DPM, MS, RD, CDN

Dr. Kanter has a deep passion for education and has always had a strong interest in natural remedies, nutrition, and exercise. Dr. Kanter has been writing and presenting continuing medical education seminars for over 17 years as the owner of Universal Educational Services. She has extensive professional credentials including a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, Master of Science with Distinction in Clinical Nutrition, and an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. In addition to these degrees, she is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Health Coach. Through the American College of Sports Medicine she has obtained the Exercise as Medicine Level 1 credential. After working as a Podiatrist and Registered Dietitian she decided to pursue a career in cannabis education sparked by her interest in the interrelationship between the microbiome and the endocannabinoid system She returned to school to earn a Master’s degree in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics as part of the inaugural class at the University of Maryland where she was inducted into Phi Theta Phi and Rho Chi honor societies. In that program, she acquired a deep understanding of the biology, chemistry, and history of the plant. She developed and delivers the practitioner’s training course for the New York State Medical Cannabis Program. She has authored a book titled The Ultimate Guide to Medical Cannabis. Dr. Kanter has a passion for cannabis education.
